Design For Life

We are pleased to invite you to prepare and submit papers to the 20th International Conference on Engineering Design, ICED15! Click here to download the flyer. The iced15 conference will be held in Milan at the same time as Expo 2015, which gives a unique opportunity to participants of both events. The theme of EXPO 2015 "Nutrition of the planet, energy for life" was inspired by the motto of ICED15: "Design for Life", which indicates the role and responsibility of designers in improving human existence. "Design for a healthy lifestyle", "design for a sustainable life" and "design for a contented life" are three areas in which design can have a particularly strong impact, and therefore they were chosen as iced15 topics. The conference program will include applied, theoretical and result-oriented work in both academic and industrial environments. Substantial and original works based on careful analysis and argumentation will be considered for inclusion. We will be particularly pleased to receive documents aimed at stimulating discussions, for which special sessions will be prepared. The work should correspond to the topics outlined below, and, if necessary, the authors can assign it to one of the iced15 topics in order to improve its visibility in connection with Expo 2015. It is expected that all notifications will be complete, not exceeding 10 pages, in accordance with the guidelines and templates provided on the iced 15 website. Each submitted paper will be reviewed by three reviewers in a double-blind process. All accepted papers will be published both electronically and in paper form. Articles with Iced will be submitted for indexing by leading institutes (ISI web of science, Scopus, Google Scholar). Documents must be submitted using the iced15 conference management system.
